Lake LA Baptist Church

Our Mission

We exist to follow Jesus with sincerity, to love people like He did, and to make disciples who walk with Him in truth, humility, and grace — not by programs or worldly strategy, but by Scripture, prayer, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Following Jesus — His Way

Jesus did not build the church through marketing plans, corporate models, or personality-driven movements. He walked with people. He served quietly. He taught truth plainly. He loved patiently. He sacrificed deeply. Our mission is not to become a brand, but to become a body — ordinary people transformed by an extraordinary Savior.

“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” — Matthew 4:19

Making Disciples — Not Consumers

Modern religion often produces church attenders, spectators, and content consumers. Jesus produces disciples — men and women who die to self, walk in holiness, love truth, forgive freely, and bear fruit in the Spirit. We measure faithfulness by obedience, repentance, fruit, and love — not by attendance charts.

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations… teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” — Matthew 28:19–20

Led by the Spirit — Not Systems

We believe true ministry flows from abiding in Christ, not following formulas or trends. We depend on God's Word and His Spirit for guidance, not worldly leadership philosophies. Methods may serve for a season, but the Master leads forever.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD.” — Zechariah 4:6

Loving People — Not Performing Ministry

True ministry is not a performance — it is presence, compassion, forgiveness, hospitality, and sacrifice. We preach the gospel, visit the broken, disciple the willing, and lift up the weak. We walk together — opening the Scriptures, asking questions, praying, repenting, growing — until Christ be formed in us.

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” — John 13:35
